Like old friend’s telling you about their favourite games
A great look into older games and fascinating insights from older players on newer games. I found Blithey’s and Dirks’s insights into Numenera, quite refreshing, compared to most of the one paragraph reviews on reddit, for example. I like the focused nature of this podcast; there are a minimum of banter and digressions into personal lives, which I prefer. I also like how it doesn’t have lots of jarring music and sound effects. Dirk’s soothing voice is perfect for the podcast format, as is Judge Blithey’s and Ed’s. Don’t get me wrong, it is quite a humorous and entertaining podcast, but also relaxed and friendly.

Great to hear about experiences that I’m sure were the same for all of us who gamed in the 80’s. But even better to hear old mates still enjoying playing together now they’re...Read full review »
