Tabletop roleplaying nostalgia at its finest!
After initially bouncing off of early episodes I eventually went back to this podcast and I'm glad I did as it's now easily the podcast highlight of my month. For people (mainly men, to be fair) of a certain age and bent, this is like being wrapped in a soft warm blanket of nostalgia with a brew and some Hobnobs. Dirk's a great host and the segments where he reminisces with Blythy are hilarious and insighful. Providing an irreverent but highly affectionate look back to the hazy days of the 80's and school holidays spent stuffed into a mate's bedroom or gathered around their kitchen table, Jumping between planets in Traveller, raiding ancient ruins in D&D, diving from the flaming wreckage in Car Wars and crawling through the mud and blood in Warhammer's Old World and so much more.Read full review »
