Can’t do without this podcast
I’ve been listening for years and am still addicted to this podcast. It has opened my eyes to so many new things, made me laugh out loud or try to hide tears on public transport, I’ve become the apex book recommender among friends and family and have a reading list to last until kingdom come. Apart from the sensitive and skilled commentary from the people behind this podcast, it’s because books are the ultimate subject matter - we go from poetry to biography to every type of fiction, taking to the people who’ve spent years of lives immersed in creative realisation of their research. And they don’t do it for money, people - authors are the most generous and talented hobbyists out there. Their passion is thankfully transmissible thanks to books and books media like this. Love your work, all of you!

I quite enjoyed the book discussions on this podcast when there was only one presenter interviewing the author. Now that there are two presenters they spend too much time chatting and giggling to the detriment of providing information about the books.
