“The title and description are misleading. The host describes this show as your home for news tips tricks and information in the handgunning world. There are no tips, or tricks, or really any discussion whatsoever on training tips, self defense, tactics, or anything related to actually using a handgun. There's also next to no discussion about any modern handguns (for 2017 NRA show review instead of a review of the maxim 9 or Hudson h9, two truly revolutionary designs, we get a review on a snubnose, a 1911, and a colorful Taurus 380). What this show does talk about is revolvers, oddball guns that are 100 years old, revolvers, the occasional 1911, revolvers, and then for some reason there's a segment dedicated to cocktails, because that goes really well with handgun discussion. If you want to hear two hosts read about obscure old handguns off the internet, or if you're into revolvers, this will be a good show for you. For anyone who wants to hear about modern guns, or for anyone who wants to hear about how to use your handgun, listen to Handgun World with Bob Mayne.”Read full review »
