I think it’s been abridged for podcast but it’s amazing this superb and important book is free.

I’ve read the book and seen the series, and this was a really good version as well! Binged the whole thing in one day.

The show is incredible. I have binged the series in a whole night.

As I’m writing this, the US Supreme Court has just stripped away more of our human rights including a woman’s right to choose. The Handmaids Tale is happening in front of our very eyes. Good podcast by the way.

Good show however when I refresh my podcast shows this show says it’s updated but there’s nothing past episode 6 which is a bummer I feel like there could be more to the show would rate higher but if there was supposed to be more episodes when there is none if this show says it’s updated but not

Very well made take on the book. Only problem is that it’s only six episodes.

As a fan of the show I think this podcast was amazing. The voice acting could be improved but nonetheless it’s perfect for my commute💛 Can’t wait for the next instalment 🙏

I am a huge fan of Atwood’s Handmaid Novels. This was such a refreshing change from my regular podcasts. Fantastic production reminiscent of a classic weekly radio drama. Hoping for more fictional podcasts in this style. Thank you!

I couldn’t stop listening! I was so interested and on the edge of my seat the whole time! Best Podcast I’ve listened to!

I love the show and this helped me get a fix with a slightly different perspective.

Watched the tv series and loved it. The podcast however is trash. It’s like listening to the tv with your back turned and there are so many (soo many) sound effects that are way too loud that you have no idea what’s going on. Couldn’t follow it at all didn’t even get to the end of episode 1. ...Read full review »

This podcast is extremely well done. Listening to it makes me feel like I’m in Gilead experiencing everything with her. It keeps you immersed without slowing down the pace. Even the background score and music work well. Truly a masterpiece!

It’s just so hokey. The acting and sound effects create a noticeably contrived, almost cartoonish vibe that distracts from the story.

I’m not usually one for scripted drama type podcasts but this one really kept me listening and paying attention.

I am a massive fan of book and tv series. I read the book multiple times in High School and loved all of Atwood’s other novels. Whilst I listened to the podcast, I felt that this was milking a great story for all it’s worth, bastardising what is a fantastic story and adding some moaning audio....Read full review »

For fans of the tv series, this is as good as it gets without the visuals.

Such an incredible amount of work put into this series- felt like I was really there in scary Gillead. I do wonder why Nick is called Joseph and Hannah called Daisy though? Still- easily a 5 star piece of production

Ugh
I haven’t read the book so am just going off the podcast, but the content struck me as formulaic, white-washed (read: white) entitled pablum.

In 15 years this could very likely be our reality. These evangelicals have been getting into positions of power all over and people have been begging for our 1st and 4th amendment rights to be revoked

This helps me refresh my memory from season one. Great Wondery podcast!

Shocked at how little promotion this show got and how little reviews this show has. Maybe it’ll be promoted more in Audible or on AmazonMusic? It’s great! I’m telling everyone I know.

I like the way this podcast flows & really feels like I’m reading since I can use my own creative imagination to interpret what things might look like in this terrifying other world. I am an avid lover of horror & thriller. Even with all of the excellent fear inducing books I’ve read...Read full review »

I love the book. This podcast is so much fun! I love it.

I love the Hulu series, but I fell in love with the novel many years before. This follows the book very closely and brought back that fascinated, uncanny, frightened feelings that I get every time I’ve read it. The voice acting is superb and I had to check the credits to make sure Ann Dowd wasn’t...Read full review »

I binged this on Wondery+ when they released it there last year and it was amazing. Really great storytelling and sound quality.
