What a career Monsieur Pratte has had. A journalist for almost 40 years, rising to Editor-in-Chief of La Presse in Montreal. Author of several books on history, media and politics. He was appointed to The Senate by Prime Minister Trudeau in 2016, as part of the first wave of independent nominations, but resigned his position three years later disappointed by the continuing partisanship he saw in the upper house.
