Wildly entertaining, informed, profane and a Must Listen
The very best, the most honest (and most profane) Canadian political podcast, providing the best, non-partisan coverage of the current federal election, every episode an erudite, articulate, informed and wildly entertaining presentation from folks who’ve been there: the avuncular (and surprisingly humble) David Herle, a 40-year activist member of the federal Liberal party (who, for instance, created Kathleen Wynne’s stunning, left-of-centre, come from behind victory in 2013); Scott Reid, a longtime Liberal insider who has also run his share of winning federal and provincial Liberal party political campaigns; and Jenny Byrne, who played the same role in the Conservative party, has an intimate (political) relationship with Stephen Harper, and unceremoniously got pulled off the 2015 Conservative campaign (she was the campaign manager), the Harper folks laying the blame for their loss at her feet (the issue of “blame” as it pertains to all three apparatchiks is addressed in the latest podcast). A must, must, must listen.

Interesting and honest take on current Canadian politics with David Hurle and guests, with a tremendous chance to see behind the curtain of political strategists and hear their war stories.

Far and away the most insightful, fast paced and wildly entertaining discovery of people, issues and politics. David is an extraordinary interviewer who actually listens to his guests, but probes deeply. I can’t wait for the next one!! Lynda
