Not a lot is told about djinn in European and western area it seems, so this is great to know about the origin and stories. Love her voice too, very easy on the ears.

Really interesting pod. I, like many , only knew of the “ westernized “ view of the Djinn.

I was so excited when I discovered this oodcast! While in college, I went to Morocco. While there, I did a project on the worship practices of rural Muslim women. My advisor there, was an anthropologist who was Moroccan. And he had done a lot of work with the Gnawa. Working with him, I learned...Read full review »

Rabia is a wonderful storyteller with a phenomenal voice. I had not heard of djinn before discovering this podcast. I’ve learned so much from Hidden Djinn. At this point, I have heard all of the episodes multiple times and I can’t wait for more! Please please come back with new episodes!

This interview was not fruitful to the ongoing conversation. It felt more like her “wants” and her “beliefs@ and her wanting to write sci-fi!

Amazing host and I'm loving the stories so much. It can be difficult to find non-Eurocentric folklore podcasts, and this is a real treat. I definitely have learned a lot, thank you.Read full review »

For a Westerner, hearing the tales of Djinn make one wonder how they fold into tales of the supernatural from around the world. Rabia makes them so accessible, so almost present...Read full review »

I love this podcast and the host. I am a history buff but this is far, far more! Being an American Midwesterner of Anglo-European descent, most of Rabia’s stories and history are new to me, and I am fascinated by every word.
