Good. Edutatainment!
I love a good podcast that can hold my attention while educating me on something, and these ladies do just that more often than not. They speak on their subjects with a passion and seem to genuinely enjoy not just the podcast discussion, but also the research process. Especially if it may have turned up something one or both of them was previously unaware. One can almost hear the giant grin on their face when given an opportunity to drop a new nugget about the current subject. Of course, the show isn't perfect. To be so new they've profiled some odd choices. A fictional character, while interesting, just seems out of place. Especially as a 3rd or 4th show. More importantly, at times the editing--or perhaps the recording equipment--leaves something to be desired. Every so often someone will speak and the pauses between the words will static or crackle. It sounds like a recording of an 80s CB. In one episode it literally sounded like a sentence was put combined with different words found in other sections. But those are minor "complaints". If the show continues to entertain this much while dishing out these history lessons I can foresee myself being very happy every time my RSS reader dings and tells me there's a new one of these for a long long time.Read full review »

It's actually this attitude that puts women and gender studies in the fearful to men category of history. It's almost unbearable to listen to as they take an offensive position against men to the point where they read female oppression into everything. This is why we don't have more...Read full review »
