What makes China particularly tough in English is the many similar sounding nimes and Chris does a good job of helping the listeners keep everything straight throught the twists and turns of history. “A solid narrative-history podcast on a topic on which many outside of China do not know so well. My only real problem with it is simply that its hard to keep track with the narrative some times, due to the alien nature of most Chinese names to my ear. But that sort of goes with the territory.”
