Hard to follow
After starting to get interested in ancient egypt I came across this podcast, while including some interesting knowledge it is hard to follow, instead of a straightforward history there are too many literary breaks and whatnot to follow consistently. Also the ardent dismissal of alternate theories such as the pyramids and the sphinx is a bit of a turn off to me, I don't exactly agree with the theories myself but for someone to bash people with somewhat of an imagination I'd expect some hard evidence to back his facts. This podcast has a good base but in order to become something I would follow more consistently it would need to become a bit more logically written to provide a strait forward timeline and stop the bashing of trains of thought that are not following with an Egyptologists train of thought. Informative and interesting podcast on the history of Ancient Egypt. I specially enjoyed episode 40 - Feasting, Laughing and Dancing, about the fantastic festivals of Ancient Egypt.

Dominic Perry has a very easy to listen to but very factual approach to this podcast. It is very clear he knows his subject very well and is passionate about it. If you have any interest at all in agent Egypt, and this is much more than just the Pharoahs, then this is the place for you.
