Listen Again and Again
This is my third time listening to the History of England podcast. David’s incredible narration and wonderful scripts are informative and entertaining, interesting and hilarious. I love the way he discusses the historiography, uncertainty and bias of sources, but also gives you what his best guess is when the history is unclear. Add in tons of Monty python references and excerpts from the ladybird book and you have a fully rounded podcast experience. Highly recommended.

I really look forward to this well researched podcast. It feeds my passion for all things English and is fun to hear about the people I've traced in my genealogy. Thanks and keep up the good work.Read full review »

Enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge of the author (and description of the Viking weaponry and vessels). And yes, historical fiction is important to broaden the audience. Thanks for the fluid history of England early development.
