I enjoyed this podcast for the most part, except when it became clear that - ho hum - women are judged more harshly for their actions than men by the narrator. Emma of Normandy is frowned upon for being less than motherly while generations of men who slaughtered and raped their way across the countryside are depicted as making choices that are perfectly defensible. Same old same old.
