What kind of birds are in the background?
Enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge of the author (and description of the Viking weaponry and vessels). And yes, historical fiction is important to broaden the audience. Thanks for the fluid history of England early development.

I discovered this podcast last week and have found it a fantastic addition to my iPod. The content is well thought out and delivered in an easy and interesting manner. Easily the best English history podcast available.

I listen to this Podcast as I drive long distances in my HGV. It is interesting, entertaining with the right amount of humour. History is a fascinating subject for me and the fact I can listen and learn whilst at work makes this the perfect accompaniment for me. Keep up the good work David!
