Fantastic!
If you like The History of Rome then get this podcast! Don’t think about it just go ahead and subscribe. David Crowther is (dare I say it) as good as Mike Duncan (there I’ve said it) and in many ways a bit easier to listen to. I download both podcasts the moment they are released and it’s a toss up as to which one gets listen to first. The early episodes are a bit slow and confusing but that’s mainly because of the strange names and somewhat speedy coverage (due to lack of historical evidence) but as he moves onto better documented periods David’s coverage improves with each episode. I VERY rarely bother to review podcasts (lazy) but had to leave this in the hope of encouraging other who NEED to listen to this one!

David Crowther's style makes this podcast. He has inserted a touch of humour into his presentation style, which has turned the story he's telling into more that just a sequence of events. I thoroughly enjoy this podcast, and is one of my favourites of all genres.Read full review »
