I've only listened to the intro episode so far, but I'm already fascinated by this podcast. Kevin Stroud clearly explains the complicated issue of the history of the English language and does so in an interesting manner. The relatively short time format (most between 30-45 min) makes it easy to listen to an entire episode in a sitting. I'm learning so much!Read full review »

A recent find - care of the History of England (I think). Easy to listen to yet packed with information. For an American, pronunciation is good too - although the "l" is sometimes swallowed (Golf pronounced as Goff) which is a characteristic of the Forest of Dean - antecedents?Read full review »
