A bracing hyper-chronicle
Jacke's mixture of subjective memoir, close reading, and bio-historical analysis makes for tremendously enjoyable listening. Not a straightforward march through literary history (although it started out that way), the podcast follows its host's whims through the annals of storytelling. You never know what he'll be covering next - but you can be pretty sure that he'll have something insightful to say about the text or the person who created it. Looking forward to the Jean Toomer episode!Read full review »
