“What's so great about this podcast? Well, if you're trying to understand Ancient Rome, you have to wade through a lot of lies and myths and pufferies that Romans wrote about themselves. Mr. Duncan summarizes what happened, why, and uses a lot of anectodes to make the history move along like a story, almost like the summary of a movie. He never talks down to the listener, though. You get the impression he knows what he's talking about. He's humble, but completely capable of making the listener laugh out out on occasion.
