Great content, frustratingly bad narrator
If you read the reviews you can get the picture. Great content on very interesting topics, but holy **** this narrator is hard to work with. His affect is flat, which isn't really the problem. It's that he struggles to pronounce the simplest words (at one point he ironically said "sorry for the miss-pro-nounce-see-ay-tions") and he stutters like he's never seen the script he's reading before. I-it w-w-would be a :pause: g-great ... great podcast if he could r-r-ead smoothly. Ugh. Just read the script ONCE before doing your recording. It's that simple. I'm all for giving talented content creators room to work, but it's obvious that for 2 years reviewers have pointed out the same problem over and over. This could be great if the narrator just took half an hour to do a table read so it wouldn't sound like he's writing it as he's reading it offRead full review »

I found this podcast sometime in 2016 after years of looking for a podcast that follows the Cold War. This podcast is exactly what I was after. It is incredibly well researched, very well produced and edited, and so educational. I can't recommend this one enough! Great job!Read full review »
