Addictive History Podcast
I wanted to find out more about Croatia on a recent trip (it turns out Croatian history is inextricably linked to the other Balkan states) so I gave this a go. I was astounded by the depth of knowledge and research for the region and listened for lots of back-to-back episodes. It would be so easy to get lost and bored in the complications of the events but the delivery is rye, charming and also tongue in cheek at times, which keeps things fun. I also liked the interviews that broke up the narrative really well, which are conducted with humility and a shared passion for the history. I’d highly recommend for anyone wishing to know more about the Yugoslav region.

Exactly what a history podcast should be - clear, concise and unbiased. The author does a wonderful job of distilling the information to what is most essential, considering the complexity of the subject and the limitations of the podcast format. Looking forward to more!

The podcast could help disentangle the complex and intense history of this part of Europe, for anyone interested in the root of the conflict between the different components of ex-Yugoslavia.
