Cameron makes his way back onto the podcast this week and he's actually the reason we watched Halloween H20. It was playing during a Halloween marathon and he had a lot of thoughts about it. As kids, we watched it and both agreed that it was more entertaining than the original! We're both grown men, more sophisticated i'd hope, so it's time to revisit this favorite from our childhood and see if it holds up. We hope you enjoy the show!

Oh yeah, the Halloween Hustle hasn't stopped! We continue on into November with another film, like Possessor, that I always wanted to watch but just never got around to. With the sequel in theaters now, I figured this would be as good a time as any. Smile has a lot more going on than I expected, and it gave Chris and I a lot to talk about. We still had to take a moment to discuss our love of White Castle though. We hope you enjoy the show!

The Halloween Hustle continues on into November! Our Patron Reneco wanted us to check out Lamberto Bava's "Demons!" I've actually seen this before thanks to Joe Bob Briggs but this is a first time watch for Chris. There isn't much plot to discuss with this film so we discuss the practical effects, the crazy layout of the movie theater, the terrible dubbing and it gave me a reason to break the translator app back out and have some fun. Have you seen this flick, what do you think about it?...

Much love to our Patron Jerika! She contributes to the Halloween Hustle this week and she has Chris and I getting into a few debates about this film. Possessor has been on my radar for a long time and I was very curious to see what the son of David Cronenberg would be able to do in the same landscape his father became a master in. The bodies get done horribly, everything is weird, it's violent as hell and we here at HVH would have it no other way! We hope you enjoy the show.

It wouldn't be a Halloween Hustle without a Friday the 13th film and the homie Trade Voorhees is back to once again, lend us his horror knowledge. We were hype to get to this film because Trade had some strong thoughts about it, just not the ones you may be thinking. Did it just get too much hate at the time like Halloween III did or was this really just a two pack of you know what?

A new Stephen King flick just dropped on Max and I figured it would be fun because neither Chris, nor I have ever seen any version of Salem's Lot or read the book, so this is all brand new to the both of us. Chris did do a little extra homework and watch most of the original adaptation before the show, so he was able to fill in some gaps when I had questions. It doesn't seem to have great review scores online but they're better than the new Joker movie at least, so maybe we made a decent...

It's Halloween Hustle time! We have to start this right and how more right can it be than to have PJ back by my side on the microphone, liquor in the cups and THE friendship fundamental, Grindhouse. PJ, Chris and I went to see this in theaters back in 2007 and since 2017 when we started HVH, we have referenced this film, told the story of going to see this film and showed it nothing but love. It took a long time to get here but it finally gets its own episode proper! We watched the full 3...

Our Patron Seth Blackwell has us dive back into the world of weird, art films and he even joins us to try and figure out just what the hell this even is. Chris and I have never seen it, Anita is out this week and we had to ask Seth on multiple occasions, "WHY?" Being from Ohio, this film did intrigue Chris and I but disappointed us both when we found out it wasn't actually filmed there! Some of our pod friends have labeled this as "the worst movie ever made," so it's time to see if we agree...

Thanks to Patreon, we all get to fill a hole in our pop culture knowledge as none of us have ever seen The Warriors. A movie with a rabid cult fanbase and loved by rappers all over, can it be any good in 2024? We kept straight with the movie this week, not a ton of side convos but we did get Anita singing for a second, Trade Voorhees gets some play with his new EP that just dropped, and Dell made sure that we DID NOT watch the director's cut, he was very specific about that. We hope you enjoy...

Thanks to our supporter Kevin Rodriguez, we get to go back in time and review a film that none of us have watched in a real long time. For the first time in a while, we all had wildly different thoughts about the movie and one of us may have some torches and pitchforks coming their way. We also discuss if we would go back in time if given the opportunity, how different this movie could've played out if Marty had been a Black Man going back to 1955, Chris has a quick review of the new...

So, I have avoided this film for 22 years but because of Anita and Chris, I have to finally watch it. As a kid, I had no interest in the American Jackie Cham films (other than Rush Hour) and I didn't watch any of them. I expect the worst but i'm being open. It also helps that PJ is with us this week! In true HVH style, we break the movie down and discuss other things like, do clothes really make the man? What are some of the worst water brands? If PM Dawn had debuted in 2002, would they have...

Alien was so good that Anita and Chris couldn't wait to watch the next movie! Even better is that Chris came out to visit us here in Cali, so all three of us are on the mic in person again, like old times. I was brimming with anticipation for them to see the first 10 minutes of this movie and if you know why, you know. Anita and I also went to see Alien: Romulus and give quick thoughts, we hip Anita to some old memes, Anita knows how to use her words and oh yeah, we watched the special...

I get to show Chris his first Brandon Lee film and I get to re-analyze this movie after previously reviewing it on the Old Man Orange Podcast about five years ago! A buddy cop movie with decapitations, neck snaps, spin wheel death explosions, water hoses down the throat and weird lines from Brandon Lee for sure has to be a fun time right? We also reminisce on the old days playing Mortal Kombat II and going to the video store. We hope you enjoy the show!

The spirit of PJ lives on because like him, apparently Chris and Anita haven't seen anything either. This is a first time watch for them both and Chris had never even watched the original, so he gives his review of that film as well. This was a staple of my childhood, the same way the Harry Potter movies were staples of theirs, so let's see if they can come around to Aliens like I did for some of those movies! If you do watch this anytime in the future, please watch the 4K version, it was...

Chris and i are on the mic this week and thanks to our supporter, Scott Widney, I get to check out a flick that has been on my radar for a while now but I juts never got around to. I don't know what was up with me this day but I was on one. Went into several rants like in the old days of the podcast, talking about people spoiling movies online, streaming services being trash, home media being wack nowadays and I did have a few good words about the new Batman: Caped Crusader series. Also, do...

The patrons have spoken once again and this time, the homie Nick wanted us to watch the 1989 karate flick, "Best of the Best." Always saw this movie playing on HBO as a kid but never actually checked it out. Very curious to see just how much karate Eric Roberts is about to throw down with! Because of a bicycle scene in the film, we all discuss our trials of learning to ride a bike, I have questions about the Olympics, we learn a bit about zodiac signs and I made a lot of dirty jokes, as I am...

Mario gifts us with his next Patreon pick this week and I've actually never seen Horror Express; it was on my entirely too long list of movies to get around to one day. I was able to talk Anita into watching this horror film since it was light on jump scares. The movie was slightly hard to follow at points, but we got through it and the final thoughts may shock you! I also got to hip Anita to a bunch of weird movie to video game adaptations, Chris helps us break down the service industry...

I've been quoting this movie for a long time, or rather singing one of the songs from this movie for a long time. I had never actually watched the movie though.. That changes today. It's a comedy film and a hip hop film, so I got to be a music nerd for a bit, Cameron calls into the show and talks of his love for house shoes, Chris gives his opinion on some albums from 2007, weird stories from Wing Stop are shared and Anita really, REALLY thinks boogers are funny. We hope you enjoy the...

Uwe Boll has somehow escaped the Home Video Hustle for years but finally we get to fix that. Far Cry is one of my favorite video game series' but I have to see if it makes a good film. You may actually be surprised by some of our opinions on the film, and Uwe even gets a bit of a defense at one point. I also have some shoutouts to give this week and screw it, I showed myself some love this week because we are still going strong after all these years dammit! I have to know though, are there...

WHAT?!? Brent's never seen Superman?!? Yes, and to make it better, I've never seen any of the original Superman films! That gets fixed today! Can I find appreciation for the boy scout now that I am not the edgelord I was in my youth? Will Lois Lane fare better with Anita than Jean Gray did last episode? Will Chris ever let go of his anger for the TV Flash not being used in the Flash film? These questions and more get answered from our Fortress of Solitude and we will see if we can believe a...

Man, I haven't seen this since I was a kid. My dad took Cameron and I to see this in the theater and was more hype than us, I'll tell you all about it. We'll also give you our thoughts on the film 24 years later, Chris tries some bacon flavored soda, Anita gives her thoughts on Rush Hour 2 after seeing it for the first time in a while, I dish out some hard truths about Wolverine and I also can't unsee the weirdness in this film after a certain documentary came out earlier this year. We hope...

Somehow, Anita had never watched Terminator 2 but that got fixed today! We also have a special guest on the mic with us and there is a whole story behind it, full of deception! I decided to have us watch the extended cut for this episode, may not have been the best idea but you'll hear all about it. We also discuss who would win in a race, the T-1000 or Tom Cruise, the old Pepsi sweepstakes where you had to find caps that spelled out, "Hasta La Vista, Baby," Arnolds love of pumping iron and...

Trade Voorhees joins the show once again and he brings a movie with him! Neither Chris nor I have ever heard of Killing Spree but luckily, it was easy to find... It's a wild movie and we had a lot to talk about, especially that scene where the main actresses head turns into a big pair of lips and she gives "head" to a guy and his head starts to shoot out white, milky fluids. It's a wild movie. We also discuss music and show a lot of love to Kool Keith, Trade rates some bars, I try to talk...

Back in 2009, I was graduating high school and watching this film in the theater. I hated it. So much that I never watched it again...Until now! I had Anita check out the original movie first, so she gives her quick thoughts on that one. Chris tries hard to help us through this terrible plot and Anita caused a whole tangent that probably got used as the clip for this episode. Oh, and this film may have one of the funniest "seduction" scenes, i've ever seen. Can anyone tell us what was unrated...
