The hosts are unwilling to gloss over the unsavoury or offensive aspects to Lovecraft's writing, and unafraid to call him out when his writing is below par. However they also have an obvious deep respect, love for, and connection to his work.
Each episode can be treated as a kind of book club - read the story, then listen to the podcast to hear thoughts on the plot, pacing, history, where it fits in the mythos. The warm and genuine banter between the hosts means even the most dire stories are made to offer some entertainment.”
