“First, let me say I enjoy the podcast. The hosts are both intelligent, articulate, and funny, and it's one of the few podcasts that has me laughing out loud as I listen. My only complaint---and for the casual Lovecraft reader, this will seem a small one---is that around 90% of what is said seems more mocking and lampooning the source material than one would expect from "fans of Lovecraft stories". Lovecraft was a pulp writer, and famous for his "purple pen"-style of sometimes overblown, melodramatic, wordy prose; still, spending most of the podcast mocking the shortcomings of his work makes this podcast seem better-suited for the "Humor" category of itunes, rather than the Arts/Literature category.
Again: it's a good podcast, and I do recommend it for what it is. But I think revising the podcast description might be a good idea.”Read full review »

I heard about these guys on Happy Jack's RPG Podcast and thought it could be interesting, so I went back to the archived episodes and started listening. I've been...”Read full review »
