There can sometimes be a disconnect with this... No one seems to talk about how to develop your own vocabulary... It's easy to add sound effects and put drums in funny orders... But how do we actually develop a PERSONAL VOCABULARY? You know. Like Bonham. Buddy. Etc etc. How do we start to sound like we made some of our own decisions about how to interpret phrasing... And hidden in that is the point... We must of course be interpreting the music for it to sound great...
