A podcast seemingly designed especially for me
This has quickly become my favorite podcast, as it is blending a variety of my personal interests. The two hosts, Razib and the other guy with the sonorous radio voice who started the company, are clearly experts. Their episodes that involve guests are varied and fantastic, though I almost prefer when it is just the two of them hashing out a topic. My favorite recurring (unconscious) 'bit' they do goes something like the following: Razib: "-now we don't know the phenotypes of said White Huns, but some evidence shows-" Founder, boldly interjecting: "Razib, have you ever witnessed the rising sun from the Khyber Pass whilst breaking your fast upon a mug of goat karahi with your choleric Afrīdī bodyguard?" Razib: "Can't say that I-" Founder: "I have. Quite enjoyable."* Two clever and interesting guys, discussing complex topics with clarity and intellectual curiosity. Highly recommend. *This is all due to Spencer Wells quite literally adventuring to nearly every interesting location in the world for field researchRead full review »

Very interesting show, genetic knowledge of our pre-history is fascinating and developing right now. A great real-time view of humanity's past. Each show is self-contained, so just choose one and decide if you want to listen to the rest.
