Description
I am particularly knowledgeable when it comes to orgasm for men. I even provide coaching on the subject. For women though – despite all my experience, training and study, I have an inherent limitation: I don't have a vagina.
I want to make sure that The Intimate Lifestyle runs the gamut, so I invited an expert who can explain female orgasm, not just for you, but also for me.
This episode's guest is Natasha Salaash. She is a certified Bodysex Instructor, Orgasm Coach, and Sex and Intimacy Counsellor. She also has a background in Applied Psychology and Counselling. Her work involves helping women discover and explore their sexuality and in effect, help them empower themselves, build confidence, and live authentically.
Natasha and I discussed orgasm in a physiological, psychological, and metaphysical level. Some of the specifics that we talked about include:
What she does and her goal working as an orgasm coach. (03:19) How she conducts orgasm coaching, sex and intimacy counseling and masturbation circles. (05:08) The importance of taking ownership of one's own pleasure. (13:23) How energy gets stuck and how it affects orgasms. (16:16) Patterns and symptoms that she observes with women who haven't experienced orgasm or have problems orgasming. (19:30) Our thoughts on the use of sex toys and exposure to porn, and how it affects orgasms. (23:56 The techniques and props that she employs, and concepts she teaches when guiding her clients about their pleasure. (33:22) The science/psychology behind getting really close to orgasm only to lose it. (43:26) The role of hormones, the human physiology, and women's monthly cycles in orgasm. (1:00:26) Female ejaculation (a.k.a. ‘squirting’) and how it relates to orgasm. (1:12:08) How orgasm and the release of oxytocin that comes with it causes women to get emotionally attached. (1:13:53) The concept of aftercare for sex and orgasm on a physical, emotional and psychological level. (1:17:42)
This was a very insightful conversation that Natasha and I had, and I learned so much! Share this episode with your network – I know a lot of people will find the things we tackled informative too.
