Description
Sheleana Aiyana is no virgin to the Intimate Lifestyle. She has already been a podcast guest roughly two years ago and we talked about holding space. Now, we have her back in a crazy conversation that scratches the surface of what she does through Rising Woman.
Sheleana created Rising Woman as a platform for women to share experiences and feelings within the safe space of the sisterhood. Sheleana, together with her partners, Ben and Heather, offer coaching and workshops to help women sort out various issues involving fertility, relationships, and inner work. Our conversation revolved around the link of our past experiences to how our present lives, relationships, and emotions play out.
Some details we deep-dived into include:
Looking back at the first time she joined the podcast. (03:03) Rising Woman as a platform for women to share their experiences and beliefs, and their deepest, most authentic thoughts and feelings. (04:29) Taoist philosophy, the relationship between the yin and the yang, and why being yourself can be a lousy advice. (09:33) How our learned habits, values, and beliefs growing up, influence us into adulthood and manifest in our lives and relationships. (10:37) Sheleana's backstory growing up with a mentally ill mother, without a father, and living in foster homes. (15:49) How her experiences when she was younger impacted her adult life. (18:47) Going through two abusive relationships and how she got out of these. (23:57) Sheleana's long journey towards inner change and taking the path of the seeker. (31:09) What the mother wound is and how our relationships with our mothers determine our lives, relationships and how we show up to the world. (37:08) Expressing and dealing with anger, specifically as a woman, and transforming it towards positivity and productivity. (23:58; 46:09) Dealing with anger in relationships and understanding how men process their emotions. (53:17) Sheleana's final words to listeners. (1:09:39)
