My recent experience
Early June this year I had to finally say something about how I was feeling about the way I was getting paid and treated to my boss/friend. It’s just so much harder when he is a long time friend but I asked him for some time away from the office and I let it out. At that point I was thinking, “Well, if it cost my job to be upfront then too bad. My sanity and peace is better!” So he gave about 15-20minutes and I just went straight to the point and I said “So that’s all I gotta say. I appreciate you but not the way I am getting treated.” He then said, “Okay, thanks for letting me. And I do agree that I’ve been dropping the ball. We can continue to talk about it another time.” Later that night he called me to ask me how I was I feeling and that he heard what I told him. I told him I felt better and reaffirm him we were good. Then I went off to a two week vacay, of course I let him know. When I returned from my trip, he let me know there was plenty of work waiting for me. Phew! It didn’t cost me my job. I feel like I did most of your steps. 👍🏻 Thanks for confirming it.

What makes Jefferson’s insights so special, in addition to their...Read full review »
