My thoughts on Jefferson Fisher
I just happened to come across his YouTube channel and decided to listen in and I have enjoyed and shared his thoughts with many friends and family members. He has great advice that works well and has roots in kindness and compassion yet does not set you up to appear to be a pansy in conversations because logic, principles and firm direction is also part of his well rounded suggestions. I find it most interesting that he never says this is exactly how to handle a particular situation, instead he offers options and you can choose one or use part of his ideas and add on as your particular situation requires. I am a very “reactive” person who has often jumped in “feet first” into conversations with emotions as my go to resource. Often times with poor results. I still speak from the heart but now I use the advice JFisher suggests more often than I ever would have in the past and I clearly see that it gives me a greater advantage than I have ever had in the past. I don’t need to WIN every discussion or disagreement but being able to clearly state my views in a calm and clear manner and feel that I have given every effort to be kind, fair and honest to myself is very satisfying. Looking forward to the podcasts!
