I listen whenever I get the chance, and go back through the archives also. You gotta love Conrad and Good Ole JR!

Please hang it up. Virtually unlistenable with the banging of the microphone against something (?). Once I got past the ads on the first episode, I counted 6 microphone “hits” within the first :30 so I turned it off. Thanks for the memories JR but it’s time to ride off into the sunset.

Past several months have only been about current AEW stuff. His best shows are about old NWA, WCW, WWF and Mid South

Nobody is tuning in to listen to you talk about AEW. I understand that they are your employer. Nobody cares! The episodes that have already been covered by Bruce aren’t half as good. I like Jim, but the fact is he has no insight to WWE Maybe do some more NWA or WCW episodes.

Thanks for JR (and Conrad of course) for this weekly podcast. Ive been listening for probably the past 4 years. I think i discovered it around the same time i found Something to Wrestle and 83 Weeks during covid. It does wonders for my mental health and anxiety. I work night shift so i dont get...Read full review »

Great stories of old school wrestling, and I love hearing them when they actually talk. For every hour show there are about 40 minutes of commercials that appear out of nowhere, sometimes right in the middle of JR talking.

I love JR. he was the first voice I heard when I started watching wrestling. He’s a legend, amazing announcer and is very insightful. The problem is Conrad. He’s such a shill for AEW. Absolutely biased, can’t listen to reason. If anyone mentions the problems with AEW he will jump to its defence....Read full review »

Quit talking about AEW. Nobody is watching that garbage

JR is a prideful (not in a good way) and bitter old man. He’s the definition of daddy issues. He depresses me… he was one of the very best to ever do it in his chosen profession… he experienced a great marriage to his late wife… yet, he carries himself like a sad little boy.
Nick_Farrior51 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/13/24
JR is more confused than Donald Trump from too many chair shots to his fat head, and Conrad is an embarrassing shill for AEW nonsense. Even Tony knows better than to return JR to his television shows. Who has an announcer when we can’t understand anything he says?

A suck up of a host loves his voice and he manage to yell.

Been listening since episode 1 and I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me through many sleepless nights and long car rides for work. This podcast calls my nerves and anxiety and for that , I can’t thank you guys enough. 1 request if i could… more studio session throwback episodes, I love...Read full review »

one else that can call and describe what is happening in a match like “Good ole JR”. This comes from his beginnings of broadcssting with Leroy McGuirk, who was blind (as described in his book SLOBBERKNOCKER). JR and Conrad make a great team of describing an event, just like JR and “The King”...Read full review »

If you want to hear about how bad JR’s life is now, please listen and he’ll tell ya. JR rambles on and on and often forget the question he was asked. JR constantly either fidgets with something or his dentures are not secured within him mouth and there’s a very loud audible distracting noise...Read full review »

Feels like I’m mostly listening to ads. I like hearing from JR and I like to hear how he’s been doing, but I feel like I’m really only hearing them talk for about 15 minutes in between all of the ad reads.

If you like hearing about the territory days, pre-Hogan WCW, unvarnished opinions on modern wrestling, you’ll like this podcast. JR puts over AEW (it’s his employer, so of course), but he has no problem criticizing the talent when they do something stupid or think they’re above experienced...Read full review »

Love the chemistry JR and Conrad have. I was a fan during the Ruthless Agression era, so it’s great to hear behind the scenes stories from Jim. Conrad is a great host as well and the podcasts he’s not in aren’t any where near as good, IMO.

There should be renamed the quite frankly podcast as JR drops that phrase, an average of 80 times per episode. Some interesting insights and tidbits from someone who was there. Not super compelling but okay for a casual, mindless listen

Not only is JR the greatest commentators of all time but his integrity and quality of character come through so clearly every time he speaks. A living legend walks among us.

I love Jim Ross and like all the wrestling podcasts done by Thompson, it’s getting to the point where the commercials interrupt the flow and make it very difficult to listen to. JR is the greatest announcer of all time and nothing will change that for me. He’s gone through some tragedies and had some serious health issues which you can understand why he is the way he is. My complaint is how the ads are spread out. JR might be in the middle of a sentence and just cuts to an ad. You want to use the sponsors of the show, but I tend to avoid the companies because I find the ads and the placement very annoying not to mention, garbage products.

JR is awesome and I always enjoyed hearing what he has to say. Sadly, enjoyed is the word, and is in the past tense. It has now gotten ridiculous with the amount of ads that are splattered EVERYWHERE. It is like the terrible mobile games and website ads of the past. I appreciate that people need...Read full review »

Love JR and Connie but the constant ads combined with JR phoning it in every show as well as at least one megasode per month kinda show where the podcast empire is these days. The only one who seems like he cares anymore is Eric.
