Funny and thought provoking
Jimmy Dore is funny, hands down. He's also smart, opinionated, perceptive, backs up his opinion brilliantly, and funny. Did I mention funny? His guests are always a great assortment, featuring such wits as Paul Gilmartin, Frank Coniff, Robert Yasumura, David Feldman, Mike McCrae, Stephanie Zamorano, and Ben Zelevansky. The Jimmy Dore Show also has "guests," faux-luniaries who are spit-take witty like Governer Chris Christie (this is a repeator and each one is indescribably hilarious! -- example? He threatens to eat the helicopter that gave him the controversial publically-funded ride), The Governator, Bill O'Reilly (I like faux-O'Reilly better than the real thing by WAY!), President OBama, and more. The show is genuinely informative without pandering or boring, and if I don't always completely agree, I'm always left thinking. This is a great podcast. It's featured on some PRI stations and I wish the day would come when this podcast/radio show was as ubiquitous as "This American Life," "Wait Wait," and "Car Talk." I enjoy this podcast so much and feel so strongly that I've written my local PRI station to ask them to feature it.Read full review »

A good mix of funny bits and insight. Even if I don't agree with all of it I find all of it entertaining.Read full review »

I've been listening to Jimmy and Stef's Comedy and Everything Else podcast for a long time now, and this show is a natural offshoot to that one. I value many things about this show in particular, not the least of which is Jimmy's very funny take on the insanity and lack of insight of...Read full review »
