John is a true gentleman. He is fair-minded, highly informed, and never insulting or combative or mud-slinging. Yet he is very strong in controlling the quality of his show. I have the greatest respect for him and know of no other podcast host like him. I hope he lives to be 200.

Love the content but your editing sucks…. Many episodes are cut off before they are over and for some reason the player often stalls when it comes to the end

I look forward to his shows everyday.

Once I heard John call himself "CBS ... " I knew his show would lean more left. There is no mention of the 2020 election audits, push for voter ID. I guess all the illegal immigrants and Afghan refugees get to vote with no voter ID. USA elections are a total sham without real state...Read full review »

John, my only access to your radio show is by way your podcast. The way of structured presents a problem. Used to flow so that I could listen to one after the other but now they stop so I have to manually click the next segment also, when you have multiple segments , say 1 through 6, 6 shows up...Read full review »

Nobody does an author interview like John B. He has so many qualities lacking today - like dignity, generosity, kindness, and humility. I have leaned so much from him over 20 years now. One thing would help me learn EVEN more: that is, if the audio-only podcast (not YouTube) page had a tab...Read full review »

The Mack is Back! Thank goodness. Glad it was just a temporary vacation thing. One of my absolute favorite regulars on the show. …Excellent point/counterpoint with the series by Gaius & Professor Germanicus viewed thru the fog-of-war & 2 millennia old mists-of-time… An abundance of...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to John Batchelor for years. I even wrote a techno thriller (“The Prometheus Option”) based on an interview he did with an expert on China’s plans to supplant the US as the dominant world power by 2049. His interviews are always lucid, trenchant, and insightful. Don’t miss JB!

Another mouthpiece of the mainstream media. Bachelor fails to look behind the curtain of modern geopolitical issues. It’s unfortunate that bachelor with all his years of journalistic experience fails to expose some of the most paramount issues of our day. Bachelor does nothing to push...Read full review »

I love the variety of guests and topics on John Batchelor’s podcasts. His book talks are so well done. The recent appearance by Bill Gertz on China and AI was excellent.

Maybe I sent already? I discovered him as a podcast a couple or so years ago, pre-COVID. I love his stuff! And he has great guests. WSJ and former federal administration officials regularly come on. He covers a diverse set of topics. Highly recommended. I miss A.J. McKinder…

John Batchelor should wear the Crown for excellence in broadcasting. No one has the range, the topics, the contributors …science, history, events all around the world and home, absolutely superb. I listen every night as I get ready to bed, and while falling asleep. Love the regular guests and segments, with the exception of the #EU woman. Just too leftist for me, makes me want to pull my hair out! but I understand that all sides are represented. Thanks for the show!

I have been listening to JB for many, many years. There is no more informed or better podcast ! There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t listen and he is the first place I go to to get informed when any national or world event occurs. The in depth book reviews with authors are also wonderful.

I like this podcast with John Batchelor very much. The 10 portion podcasts do not bother me. If it’s a subject I want to learn about, I listen to them all. Subjects or people I do not want to hear, I simply don’t listen to. This is a very interesting and intelligent podcast with a very amiable host.
Staje53 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/15/23
Still quality show but the ads make it almost unbearable. It’s overkill. The first and last min is the same commercials over and again. Good portion of the segments.

Michael Vlahos is a biased Russian apologist. He speaks as if he works for RT. He needs to go.

I very much enjoy this thought provoking podcast. HJ MacKinder is my favorite. My only complaint is with Michael Vlahos who seems to be in the employ of RT. Nevertheless, thank you John, please keep up your good work.

I have listened to John for twenty years and he has broadened my world view and deepened my understanding of the complex issues facing us. His guests range far beyond the increasingly mindless confines of the major news outlets to make you actually think. This man is a treasure.
