Ugh
I have eagerly anticipated the airing of this podcast since seeing the trailer a few weeks ago. So I immediately started listening this morning when I received notice that episode 1 was up. Unfortunately, I could not get through the first five minutes because the vocal fry of the reader’s voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. Every sentence ends with a vibrating rrrrrrr. Why? If this is truly her unaffected natural speaking voice, NYT might want to consider another reader for their podcasts. I’m going to drink some more coffee and then give it another try. Maybe the caffeine will help.

More reviews of The Kids of Rutherford County
Grateful for the work of the young lawyer. And this podcast to keep shining light on that depraved judge, who has escaped accountability. Blood boiling what was done to the kids.

Want to keep listening but the woman’s voice is nails on chalkboard

The story is interesting, but can’t take narrators voice, so I won’t be listening to more episodes. Unnecessary voice inflections and I feel like she is talking down to the audience.
