Please do more of these series! Critical information presented objectively that needs to be shared across the globe.

I can’t help but feel thrown off by the structure of this podcast. Why save hard evidence regarding someone’s death for the final episode, and devote the 5 previous episodes to conjecture pertaining to their final moments, going so far to have a former diplomat emphatically say the police...Read full review »

Powerful story that still needs to be spread throughout the world

From the very first episode, this podcast reels you in. Gives one pause about how much we take for granted in the freedoms in the “free world”. It’s a shame we don’t have the plight of the Balochs highlighted & spotlighted in our news media. I admire the courage of everyone fighting for their...Read full review »

I like podcasts that provide a learning experience. This is an interesting albeit at times dramatic show about Pakistan and it’s persecution of ethnic minorities. I learned something.

When stories take one person’s story and connect them to a larger issue, it’s impactful. Excellent journalism, investigations and storytelling.

This podcast is so amazingly put together. Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this amazing group of people. The strength and courage they have shown while standing up against Pakistan’s government has left me speechless. This is the BEST and saddest podcast I have listened to. Thank you!

I had not heard much of the people and place covered in this podcast, but it was so very interesting. Very thought provoking and really covered all sides of the events!

As a veteran reporter, would you not start with the coroner and police report? Building this case up all to conclude with a very clear police report makes the entire thing feel exploitive. RIP Karima

An example of excellent journalism in every respect. I admire Ms. Lynk’s integrity, as well as the deep respect and compassion she demonstrates for Karima and her family as she investigates all of the circumstances that led to Karima’s death. The podcast honours Karima and her life’s work to...Read full review »

I was looking for something to listen to and this had me on the edge of my seat each episode so far. I am recommending this to friends.

A riveting account of feminist activism in Balochistan, a part of the world in need of more attention and advocacy. It’s one thing to live in Toronto and remember the news accounts of a women’s body found on Toronto Island and another to delve deep into her life in the city, how she came to be...Read full review »

Before listening to this podcast, I did not know about the circumstances that have driven these dissidents into exile from Pakistan or about the history of these independent peoples within the territory of Pakistan created post-colonialism. It is a very moving story. Their names will live on as...Read full review »

This was fine until there was a pro life ad before my episode. Disgusting.

A very human telling of the personal and political journey of this brave woman, Karima, as well as of others from her community who also fear for their life. It’s very hard to listen to, but certainly done through compassionate journalism.

Good story. But sort of a bait and switch title versus actual plot.

Captivating story that is well told in an objective manner. Please make more! Privileged to have the opportunity to learn about the struggles of others around the world and hopefully the increased awareness will bring change.

Once again the CBC has produced a factual, humane and, in this instance, devastating series. It is to be hoped that the circumstances that led to Karima Baluch’s death will not be ignored, and that the Pakistani government’s treatment of minorities and dissidents will be thoroughly investigated...Read full review »

Thank you for doing such a fantastic job in bringing both the horrible murder of this wonderful woman and the ongoing atrocities for the people of Balochistan to life for us. I will be writing letters and doing what I can to bring these crimes to the light.

Fantastic reporting job! Unfortunate history and terrible Canadian police and government. I’m guessing Canada is the same place as others, all about politics and money. Nothing about freedom and their people first!

Thank you for this brilliant investigative reporting on a crucial incident - one that mirrors violent attempts of governments to control peaceful political dissidents around the world. You are brave souls to help us understand, so that we can take informed action.

Been this touched by a podcast in my life. The heartbreaking sacrifice made by dissidents to free their people from a brutal regime is a lesson in how even the most seemingly insignificant people can impact the world.
