Inaccurate information and no new info
Marylin Monroe is too big of an icon for anyone to say anything about her without doing extensive and exhaustive research first. To begin with, she didn’t get married because she was being fostered by an older woman who could no longer take care of her. She was living with her Mother’s best friend and her guardian Aunt Grace. Unfortunately, Grace’s new husband was molesting Marylin. When the husband got a new job relocating the family out of California, Grace felt it was best to remove Marylin from the situation. That’s right, instead of confronting her child molester husband, she arranged for Marylin to get married to a local neighborhood boy. Because once she got married, she longed would be required to live in the Orphanage. Second of all, to say that Marylin was constantly searching for a Father figure in the men she dated bc she didn’t have one her self, is offensive to not only her but to all women. I’m sorry but people are not as simple as that. And to paint Marylin in such broad strokes minimizes all that she really was. Finally, Marylin was a fiercely intelligent, talented person, if she wasn’t, she wouldn’t have achieved what she did. Did she struggle with mental health issues? Probably, but tell me what other person you know that could rise up from a childhood like she has and achieve international stardom. That’s the real story this podcast should be exploring. The story of a woman with un relenting grit.

Not a movie. Did you get the date of her death wrong? Is this an experiment? Are we being Punk’d?
