It’s lacking a bit
Granted, I’m only about halfway through the first episode. But these events are so recent, I feel like we’re not getting an in-depth view of things. This could’ve waited. Like, really waited. The host seems amazed that investigators took 6 weeks to apprehend a suspect? I’ve listened to a lot of true crime, and seemingly random murders take…time to put together? And a lot of info is kept from the public on purpose. So, no, journalists aren’t going to know it all. For good reason. I know the podcast needs dramatics, but it really seems to be lacking info or general awareness.

Why the narrator thinks anyone has a gargantuan appetite for the inside minutiae contained in this self-dramatizing reporter’s “I was there” chronicle, I have no idea. No one cares about some tiny scoop-let seven months ago that was swiftly overtaken by events.
