TKG 06: Who Needs Gender Roles When We Can Have Sushi Rolls?
Listen now
Description
Well, we’re back and definitely doing much better than ever. The Kinky Geeks return after a lengthy hiatus. Let’s just say life got in the way but we’ve made it through the worst of it. We’ve decided to fire up the engines and start off with an episode about gender and identity. Ophilia is asked what it means to be queer and finds this sparks some deep thought about how we view gender in ourselves and in others. We talk about removing the binary in gender, dealing with people who perpetuate gender stereotypes and how eliminated gender roles could even help prevent domestic violence. We’ve discovered there are many ways to express your sexual identity from the most masculine to the high femme and from crossplay to gender bending burlesque. Everything in between is a delicious buffet of self-expression whether it’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, asexual, queer, pansexual, hetero or anywhere you are on the sexy spectrum at the moment. So come geek out about gender roles with the Kinky Geeks!
