Academic essay form of podcasting
These are essays delivered vocally, with some discussion. I don’t mind since I’m an academic but I do prefer the spirit of unscriptedness in podcasting. Btw, if you do a podcast, please do your listeners a favor and spend $100 on a decent microphone

They forget to stop recording so you have to listen to them using swear words while they figure out how to press the record button. You also hear a lot of background noise that sounds like someone constantly hitting against the desk, and overall the recording quality is fairly poor.

I like the idea of this podcast - taking a common piece of art, entertainment or idea and then using that as a jumping off point for a political and philosophical discussion.
