“When this show hits its stride nothing compares. Outside of Pritchard's show and maybe Schiavone's effort this is consistently the premiere pro wrestling podcast on iTunes. Of course, what puts this show in a different category than the aforementioned is the hosts and creators are just regular folk.
There are many things impressive about this podcast. To start with the production is excellent. The hosts are not only true fans of the Business they do their research. Part one of the Chris Benoit trilogy stands as of 2017 as THE final word on the tragic events of 2007. They are independent, not afraid to express a controversial opinion, and bring their life experiences to their analysis.
This last point cited is significant. The hosts started as fans when in their early teens and as they matured, went to college, worked in the private sector, moved into having families they adjusted their view of the Biz. As they understood more about business they applied that increased knowledge to the Biz. This gives an interesting perspective but what makes this perspective into a great podcast are the hosts. They do the work, they do the research, they labour over the product.
The hosts also deserve kudos for the manner in which they try and avoid expletives far more than many similar podcasts. These guys don't need to roll curses off their tongues because they speak with the courtesy of being before a live crowd. It's all first class work absolutely deserving of five stars. The only suggestion I have is going easy on the Vince M imitations. You guys are so good imitations should be used, but used sparingly.”Read full review »
