An articulate, deeply- knowledgeable podcast. Takes the form of a conversation between experts but always delightful to listen to. I come away each time wanting to read more and returning to old books as well as discovering new reads. Simply one of the best.

Loving this podcast on one of my favourite writers. I'm a Londoner who lived here in both the late 1970s and nowadays. The two deep-dive episodes on Tinker Tailor locations and the wider social context of Britain in the 70s are very insightful.Read full review »

What I find professional is that he takes podcasts as medium, which people use while working, lying in bed or walking. Hé takes into account that there will be no sudden change of pace in the...Read full review »

… that John le Carré is a fascinating writer and person. I’ve enjoyed these deep dives into his work and life, and it’s making my read-along of JLC’s work even more fun than I was already having. A great find.

I have been reading le Carre for 40 years, and each time I finish one of his novels, I have wished that I could discuss the book in depth with someone knowledgeable. This podcast fills that need. I just finished le Carre’s posthumously published Silverview, and was searching online for literary...Read full review »

Great to see someone start a dedicated Le Carre podcast (unless I missed one) and who better than Jeff Quest. Looking forward to seeing this one grow as all the books are covered. Loads of potential for an amazing podcast here. Good luck.
