The storytelling on this podcast is fantastic. After the first episode I think season 2 may be even better than season 1. It’s hard to wait for the next episode. Worth a listen!!!!

The Snarr family are the most amazing, loving family. The humor of Ron is beautiful and inspiring. Best podcast I have heard in a long time!

I have never before listened to any kind of crime podcast. It didn’t seem like something that would bring anything good to my mind. But a friend told me I had to listen to this. I am touched beyond words. I never thought I’d describe a crime podcast with these words, but devastating, tragic,...Read full review »

What an example of how we should live, love, and forgive. And, how some people can really change. We need more people in this world like the Snarr family. They are true lights to this dark world!!

What a beautiful story. People heal from tragedy in different ways. But I think we know that harboring bitterness will literally eat your body and soul.

This podcast moved me. All the people involved will surely stay with me for a while, and it left me questioning some areas of forgiveness in my own life... beautifully done.

This podcast was very emotional for me. Just listening to the pain of the people whose lives were change and the way they chose to move on. I feel a lot of admiration for Yvette and for Zach’s family. Excellent podcast

This is definitely a podcast everyone should listen to. I finished it in 3 days. It’s so hard to put into words with this story means, but it’s definitely a story of healing and redemption. As Bryan Stevenson says, “each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done”. The transformation...Read full review »

The podcast should be required listening. With narrative, interviews, and readings the creators tell the story of an utterly senseless crime that kills an adolescent boy beloved by everyone who knew him and grievously wounds his friend who survives multiple gunshot wounds. Their assailant was 19...Read full review »

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. It’s not your typical true crime. It’s largely about the aftermath and experiences of the victims involving a murder. Pretty amazing.

I listen to hours of podcast regularly. Big name known ones I usually prefer have nothing of these ladies. Well done! I will be listening for more.

First, the podcast itself was phenomenal! I do agree with many that there are too many ads. I find it admirable that the Snarr family chooses forgiveness over a lifetime of hatred and anger. However, advocating for his release is incredibly insensitive to Yvette’s feelings and just simply...Read full review »

Sad
It’s really really sad then once it started to shift towards the killer being misunderstood or sympathetic towards him I just wasn’t into it. If you’re going to be emotionally rung out over the loss of the victims it’s not satisfying to switch to a sympathetic view of the killer as soon as he’s...Read full review »

I am speechless. This podcast was such a beautiful listen. The Snarr family truly shocked me in so many ways. I have so much respect and appreciation to witness people choose love and forgiveness over hate. I know this was no easy thing to do. It’s amazing how people can forgive someone who has done so much harm. In doing so they healed so many people. Very good podcast. Written, recorded and voiced so well!

This story pulls no punches. The families share the grief, anger, sadness and hate when a young man rips three families apart. It took decades of grieving to bring this story to a place of healing. Seriously, such a beautiful story of forgiveness. Even people who do heinous crimes can be...Read full review »

Opponents of capital punishment say “Life without parole” means the murderer will not be released. Worse than death. Of course, that’s jive. The ACLU and lawyers like Jorge’s will try to spring them by, among other methods, exploiting the grieving victim family’s desire for something redemptive...Read full review »

You cannot hear this story without being impacted by it. It’s about an extraordinary family’s journey through grief, loss, anger and forgiveness. And, in the end, it’s a story about redemption.

Meh
On episode 5 and don’t know that I’ll continue listening. More ads than other podcasts which is annoying. Can’t get into the flow of the story. And Zack’s mom’s relationship with George says more about her mental state than anything. I’m all for forgiving but her relationship with him seems manic...Read full review »

As beautiful as this story is I feel like Yvette matters too and she needs to be able to continue to grief and heal in a way that makes her feel safe. I do believe our justice system is flawed but also people can’t just get away with such violence.

This podcast is so well done but what a disappointment that those of us who cannot subscribe, for whatever reason, are prohibited from hearing the episodes on mental health, grief, and forgiveness. It seems especially harsh for those of us who have experienced our own trauma and loss, and are...Read full review »
