Steve does a great job explaining not only names, dates, characters and events. He also explores the backdrop and context of history. Instead of being a 2D image of a man who is revered as a hero or accused of heresy, this podcasts sheds light on the complexities of Martin Luther, as a person. It’s also a really engaging way to learn about the roots of the Reformation for those who find church history boring or overwhelming. The timing couldn’t be better as 2017 marks the 500th anniversary since Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of Wittenberg Cathedral.

6 episodes in and no complaints. I’ve recently become interested in Lutheranism and decided to see if there were any related podcasts, and luckily this showed up. This podcast is easy to follow and I appreciate the historical context provided in the first few episodes.
