In that vein, though, I would say that when you said Justin Timberlake should have proposed to Britney Spears if indeed she was pregnant with his child, that’s not exactly in line with Catholic teaching on marriage. The Church is very hesitant to marry couples in the case of an unplanned pregnancy because the consent to the marriage is very iffy in such an emotionally charged situation. Typically the couple must wait at least until after the baby is born to be able to decide without as much immediate pressure.”
