Dangerously Closed-Minded
I am an agnostic with a wonderful relationship with my fiancée, a devout Christian. Her brother recently cornered her and implored her to call off our marriage and and leave me so as to save her soul from eternal damnation. He cited an episode of this podcast and begged her to listen to it. She didn't, but I did. This podcast (ep 162) implies that, upon marriage, I will be a drunken glutton who abuses her and cheats without apology. It compares me and my depravity to Jeffrey Dahmer. It says that because I do not fear God, I have no morality and there is no recourse when I do horrible things. It reinforces and encourages an "us vs them" mentality where Christians must be in direct opposition to the rest of the world. This is a sad, narrow, and dangerous world view. I hope listeners of this podcast will broaden their horizons and seek other perspectives. Respectfully, An agnostic who won't beat his wife.Read full review »

Thank you all for your faithful ministry. May God bless you all and...Read full review »
