Perfect for me
I love visual art, but don't have an academic background in it. It can be really hard to find books or podcasts that aren't either so basic that I'm bored or so "insidery" that I can't get interested. The Lonely Palette is perfect -- very accessible, but loaded with information that gets me thinking. The host is fabulous. She clearly knows her stuff, but is more interested in bringing the audience in than lecturing. Super engaging. Highly recommended.Read full review »

This podcast is incredible. I’m a dummy when it comes to art, but this podcast doesn’t treat me like one. It’s such an intellectual and sensual dissection of art that it becomes a moving piece of art itself.

Entertaining, funny, educational, lovely. What more could we ask for?

This is fantastic! I found this through WNYC's A Piece of Work and this show goes so much more deeply into the content. I love the way that Avishai explains the story behind the artwork, and she's got such a great radio voice. More episodes, please!Read full review »
