A theological red pill for Protestants
I’m a Protestant, former pastor, lecturer and current PhD student in New Testament. Accordingly, I thought I knew a bit about the Bible, theology and angelology. However, having listened to a goodly number of the Lord of Spirits podcast episodes, I have been thoroughly disabused of any notions of competence. I have seen the pitfalls of my tradition critiqued far more potently than any polemical, theological tome. If you want to understand how badly evangelicalism has capitulated to post-Enlightenment philosophy, let Fathers Andrew and Stephen take you on a whistle stop tour through premodern categories and systems of thought. Thus you will discover an alternative from the forced choice between the Scylla and Charybdis of either arid evangelical intellectualism or vapid, charismatic fanaticism. While thoroughly informative, this introduction to biblical and patristic thought hits the sweet spot between the weighty and the accessible. You will learn and you will enjoy it! Thanks to all involved in the production of this gem.

“I’m not saying it’s aliens...but it’s demons.” Folks, it’s like Coast to Coast AM but for Christianity. Can a podcast get better than that? Nah bruh. Can’t.
