“My love for Middle Earth goes way back. So far back that Galadriel could have been head cheerleader for my High School. I ran across this Podcast because the release of The Rings of Power reignited the passion I had/have for the lore. Copies of Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy sit proudly on my bookshelf and had gone undisturbed until just recently. But the allure of the One Ring has pulled me back into the wonderful, fascinating, magical world that Tolkien created. Unfortunately, I did not realize how toxic part of the fandom has become. I’m all in for reasoned and well though out criticism but what I encountered far too often, especially on You Tube, Reddit and other platforms, were vitriolic hate, that frankly took me aback. Then I came across this Podcast. David and John’s exposition on everything regarding the Lore was like a breath of fresh air. I don’t want a podcast that just “bends the knee” to the series, that would be boring. I do however want to listen to a podcast where the hosts shares the same passion about that lore that I do, has knowledge about the story that exceeds my own and presents those views in an interesting captivating manner. This podcast has done that for me.”
