I have recommended this podcast to several people. I am not a big fan of recommending things willy nilly - I only do it when I really mean it. I discovered the podcast because I am a client of Dr. Lisa’s, but she doesn’t require her clients to listen, and you do not have to be a client to listen to her podcasts. In fact, it is sometimes helpful to listen to the podcast and ruminate on an idea that might be bothering you before going through a session - you might get your answers in advance, and can spend more time focusing on moving forward. Dr. Lisa is a great therapist, and that comes through in the podcast. You can hear her concern, her own self reflection, and get a sense that she really knows and understands where you are coming from. You don’t have to listen to every podcast to benefit either. Pick and choose based on your current issues! As a fun aside - this is also probably the only mental health podcast that opens with various trance, punk, trip hop, dub step, and classical music tracks, based on the topic. I can almost appreciate it just for the music selection alone. :) To get a good sense of a place to start, try her “Start 2016 Strong” podcast episode. It will give you insight into how Dr. Lisa works, and the practical approach (and materials) you can use to move forward into a great new year. TL;DR - This podcast is the best.
