A Humble Gem
I have been a D&D enthusiast and player for several years and a very big fan of Critical Role for about two years. Listening to other D&D podcasts or streams has always been difficult because the play style always seems to be chaotic and focused on being a comedy show. TLD gets it right in the same way CR does, they focus on playing through a narrative whilst using the play system as a tool to tell a story and incorporate much needed structure. Their backstories are the primary focus as they interact with the world thus forming realistic and meaningful characters. Volonda DMs beautifully with descriptive storytelling that accentuates what her players have created and creating a plot that is captivating. These are very honest people creating an absolutely beautiful story.

Sending good vibes for everyone! - PS: i find that the main...Read full review »
