“More intelligent and insightful than the Daily Show, funnier and more entertaining than Democracy Now!, more mature and with 50% fewer dick jokes than Citizen's Radio, Sam Seder's Majority Report is the single most important Podcast in my iTunes -- I can always count on Sam to not only keep me informed about the important, off-the-mainstream-news-radar stories when it comes to politics, government, and environmental/social issues, but also to break down the sometimes arcane and labyrinthian details of corporate and professional political shenanigans while putting everything in a theoretical and practical context that helps me to understand new facts and new outcomes as they occur.
Sam Seder is doing the really hard work, keeping us up on all the (sometimes depressing) details of just how the sausage of politics and government is made, and just what (and who) is being ground up to feed our sometimes so-ubiquitous-you-can't-see-it oligarchic and plutocratic money machine society, to a degree that most regular folks just can't invest the time to do unfortunately! And in doing so he is keeping our democracy safe by fighting to educate the people about what is ACTUALLY going on, with great guests and fantastic interviews from across the spectrum of activist and left-leaning political reporters, agents, and authors.
If you care anything about democracy, propaganda, corporate law breaking, our environment, and the destruction of a government meant to be by, for, and of the people by the corporate power elite, (but also don't care to indulge in the dorm-room goofiness of otherwise decent comedy/politics podcasts like Citizen's Radio) you must make Sam a daily listen as he pushes past the cliches and received-wisdom of the mainstream media echo chamber each day during the first half of the show as well as the unmissable "better half" call in/talk-back for members only.
